Two Chippewas Garner Academic Recognition

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Two Central Michigan University football players made first team Academic All-Mid-American Conference.
Senior tight end Dave Kurzen and sophomore defensive end Daniel Bazuin were the Chippewas honorees. Kurzen is a 3.59 student majoring in elementary education while Bazuin is a 3.49 marketing major.
Kurzen caught 15 passes for 163 yards and one TD in 2004.
Bazuin, also named first team All-MAC for his play on the field in 2004, had 50 tackles including eight for losses of 46 yards. He also blocked a team-high four kicks.
