Saturday's Softball Action Canceled in San Diego

The Central Michigan University softball team will have to wait until Sunday to try and get back on the diamond as all of today's scheduled games at the Campbell/Cartier Classic hosted by San Diego State were canceled.

CMU will attempt to get two games in on Sunday, Feb. 20, before returning to Mount Pleasant. The Chippewas are scheduled to face Notre Dame at 9 a.m. PST, and No. 21 Fresno State at 11 a.m. PST.

Note: The Chippewas' win over Santa Clara on Friday will go down as a 3-0 victory. The game was called in the bottom of the sixth inning because of rain. Since five innings were in the book, it is considered a a complete game. Upon further clarification, all completed at-bats do count in the stats so CMU's run in the top of the inning does count. It was reported as a 2-0 final score on Friday night.
