CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo -- A week off didn't slow the Central Michigan University baseball team down as CMU extended its winning streak to seven straight with a 4-2 victory at Southeast Missouri State on Friday at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
The Chippewas (10-5) continue a three-game set against the Redhawks (6-10) tomorrow, playing a single game at 1 p.m. CST, before wrapping up the series on Sunday at 1 p.m. CST.
CMU jumped out to a 4-0 lead after five and a half innings before SEMO pushed across single runs in the bottom of both the sixth and ninth frames.
