Stay and Play Packages Available For 2005 Football Season

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University Athletics is proud to offer Stay and Play packages, presented by Bennigan's, for all home football games during the 2005 season. Packages are available for either one or two nights lodging at the Comfort Inn, Fairfield Inn or Holiday Inn, and every package includes a ticket to the CMU football game on that weekend.
One-night packages include 36 holes of golf with cart, lodging, one CMU football ticket and parking at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Two-night packages include 54 holes of golf with cart, two nights lodging, one CMU football ticket and parking at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
Participating golf courses are The Pohlcat, Bucks Run, St. Ives and Tullymore. The Pohlcat, designed by former PGA Touring Pro and Mount Pleasant native Dan Pohl, offers golfers a challenging layout with the Chippewa River in play on several holes and significant bunkering all around the golf course. Bucks Run, located four miles east of Mount Pleasant, stretches across 290 acres and is built around an old rock quarry, providing dramatic views and a picturesque setting on a course that offers five sets of tees ranging from 5,090 to 6,756 yards. St.Ives and Tullymore are both located at the Canadian Lakes Resort in Stanwood, approximately 30 miles west of Mount Pleasant. St. Ives has received a five-star rating from Golf Digest, and is sure to test golfers of all abilities with its sprawling wetlands. Tullymore has been recognized as one of the `Top 100 Courses' in the United States by Golf Magazine, and was named the best new upscale public course in Michigan in 2002.
There are four plan options for a Stay and Play package:
One-night packages
Plan #1 - 18 holes at The Pohlcat and 18 holes at Bucks Run
Plan #2 - 18 at The Pohlcat and 18 at either St. Ives or Tullymore
Two-night packages
Plan #3 - 18 at The Pohlcat, 18 at Bucks Run, and 18 at either St. Ives or Tullymore
Plan #4 - 18 at The Pohlcat, 18 at St. Ives, and 18 at Tullymore
Packages are available through the Holiday Inn at (989) 772-2905, and through either the Comfort Inn or Fairfield Inn at (989) 772-4000.
