Family Day Festivities Set for Saturday

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University will host Family Day in conjunction with Saturday's home football game against the University of Akron.

A variety of activities will take place on The Island, just north of Kelly/Shorts Stadium, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Families can also register for a drawing, the prizes for which include gift certificates to the Student Book Exchange and Applebee's, as well as a football signed by the 2006 Chippewas.

Ticket prices are as follows:

$25 - Adult Reserved Game Ticket and Family Day Ticket
$20 - Senior/Youth Game Ticket and Family Day Ticket

$5 - Single Family Day Ticket

CMU will host defending Mid-American Conference champion Akron on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Chippewas have won their last two conference openers by a total of four points.
