ESPNU to Televise CMU-Toledo Football Game

MOUNT PLEASANT –

University’s football game on Oct. 7 at the

University of

Toledo will be televised live on ESPNU. Kickoff will remain at 7 p.m.

ESPNU is available via DIRECTV channel 609 and DISH Network channel 148 in mid-Michigan.

With the addition of the

Toledo contest to the television slate, CMU will now play at least six nationally televised games this season. Nine of the 12 games during the 2006 regular season will be televised live, the most in a single season in program history.

The contest will mark CMU’s sixth appearance on the ESPN family of networks in 2006. The Chippewas opened the season against

Boston

College on ESPN2, then visited

Michigan in a game televised by ESPN Plus and also available on ESPN GamePlan. CMU’s Mid-American Conference contests against Bowling Green (ESPNU, Oct. 19), Western Michigan (ESPNU or ESPN Classic, Nov. 10) and Northern Illinois (ESPNU, Nov. 17) later this season will also appear on the ESPN family of networks.

In 2005, the Chippewas’ season opener against

Indiana was televised nationally on ESPNU.

CMU visits

Kentucky this Saturday at 6 p.m. The nonconference tilt will be televised on a tape-delayed basis by the Big Blue Sports Network in

Kentucky.
