CMU 47, Army 23
CMU’s captains for the Army game were Ike Brown, Red Keith and Eric Tunney.
Dan LeFevour is now the all-time leader in touchdown passes at CMU with 39. He breaks Jeff Bender’s record of 38 (1988-91). The record breaker was a 15-yard screen pass to Justin Hoskins with 13:44 remaining in the second quarter.
CMU has scored at least 30 points in a half in three straight games. The Chippewas scored 33 in the first half against Army, 30 in the second half at Ball State, and 35 in the first half against Northern Illinois.
Dan LeFevour’s four touchdown runs established a new career high. He is the first CMU player to run for four touchdowns since Robbie Mixon ran for 377 yards and four scores in a 47-21 win over Eastern Michigan in 2002.
After trailing at the end of the first quarter in each of the first four games, CMU has held leads after the first period in each of the last three games.
Josh Gordy tied a school record with three interceptions, including one he returned 15 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Steve Bograkos intercepted three passes against Indiana State in 1972.
Dan LeFevour has accounted for 12 touchdowns (seven passing, five rushing) in the last two games.
CMU has scored 105 points the last two games, the most in a two-game stretch since 1974, when CMU scored a total of 107 points in defeating Indiana State, 49-0, on Oct. 12 and Western Illinois, 58-7, on Oct. 19. This is just the third time in school history CMU has scored 100 points combined in back-to-back games.
CMU has won three straight games. This is the third straight season the Chippewas have posted a winning streak of at least three games. CMU last had three straight seasons with winning streaks of at least three games in 1992-94.
The Chippewas are 3-1 at home with one home game remaining. This will be the third time in the last four years CMU has finished with a winning record at home.
Dan LeFevour accounted for 351 yards of total offense against Army (251 passing, 100 rushing), the fourth-highest single-game total of his career. In the last two weeks combined, LeFevour has completed 60-of-77 passes (77.9 percent) for 611 yards and seven touchdowns, and rushed 30 times for 246 yards (8.2 yards per carry) and five scores.
Dan LeFevour has completed 179 passes this season, the fifth-most in a single season in school history. Kent Smith holds the record with 255 completions in 2005. His 2,189 yards of total offense rank seventh in a season at CMU.

Red Keith finished with 15 tackles, one short of his career high. He moved into fourth on the school’s career tackles with 405.
All seven of CMU’s games have been decided by at least 20 points. CMU is the only Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) program that has had each of its games this season decided by 20 or more points.
CMU’s 47 points against Army represent the most scored in a nonconference game since a 48-10 win over Montana State in 1988.
