Chippewa Section Full For MAC Championship Game

MOUNT PLEASANT Central Michigan University football fans still looking to attend Saturday’s Mid-American Conference Championship Game will now need to get their tickets through ticketmaster.com or the Ford Field Box Office.

The Chippewas have filled up their allotted sections and the CMU Athletics Ticket Office does not have any more tickets available.

CMU (7-5, 6-1 MAC) meets Miami (6-6, 5-2 MAC) on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Ford Field in Detroit. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m., and the game will be televised on ESPN2.

The Chippewas are the defending MAC champions after defeating Ohio in last year’s title game, 31-10.

Head coach Butch Jones is looking to become the first first-year head coach to lead his team to a MAC title since Toledo’s Tom Amstutz in 2001. CMU features 10 All-MAC selections, including MAC Offensive Player of the Year Dan LeFevour and MAC Freshman of the Year Antonio Brown.
