Chippewas Arrive in Detroit for Motor City Bowl

DETROIT - Central Michigan's football program migrated south from Mount Pleasant to Detroit to continue its bowl preparations on Tuesday.
The Chippewas practiced for nearly 90 minutes at Ford Field upon arrival in the city. Head coach Butch Jones, quarterback Dan LeFevour and linebacker Nick Bellore addressed the media during a press conference following practice. The team then enjoyed lunch at Motor City Casino before checking in to the Westin Book Cadillac.
Two bowl events are on tap for Tuesday night. Players from both teams will spend the evening at Gameworks, while administrators, coaches and other members of the traveling party will participate in a banquet at the Henry Ford Museum.
CMU in the Media
Head coach Butch Jones conducted a series of interviews upon arrival in Detroit. He is slated to make two radio appearances on Wednesday. Jones will be on WDFN-AM 1130 with Matt Shepard at 6:05 a.m., and he will join Doug Fisher on WTRX-AM 1330 at approximately 11:10 a.m.
Junior quarterback Dan LeFevour also is slated to join two radio shows Wednesday. He will be on WDFN at 8:30 a.m. and also will join Bret Bakita at 11:25 a.m. on WBBL-AM 1330.
Brunner Hosting Chippewa Rewind
Chippewa fans are reminded that a special series of Chippewa Rewind will be running throughout bowl week. Senior quarterback Brian Brunner will be hosting each episode. Each show will include highlights of bowl week events and interviews with Brunner and CMU's players and coaches.
