John Williams recorded his first career forced fumble.
Brett Hartmann’s 64-yard punt in the second quarter was a Motor City Bowl record. The previous record was 60 yards, shared by two players.
Brian Anderson extended his consecutive games with at least one catch to 40. It is the seventh-longest active streak in the country.
Andrew Hartline started his 52nd consecutive game, tied for the longest active streak in the country. Hartline started game from the beginning of his redshirt freshman season in 2005.
On CMU’s first play from scrimmage, Ontario Sneed rushed 28 yards to move into the No. 8 spot on CMU’s career rushing yards list, passing Mose Rison (1974-77) and Silas Massey (1995-98). The 28 yard rush is also a school record for longest rush in a bowl game, breaking Sneed’s own mark of 26 in the 2006 Motor City Bowl. Sneed finishes his career with 2,862 yards.
After registering 309 yards of total offense, Dan LeFevour now ranks 16th in NCAA history with 11,702 yards. It’s also the second-most in Mid-American Conference history. He sits behind only Marshall’s Byron Leftwich, who racked up 12,084 yards between 1999-02.
Dan LeFevour finished 28-of-40 against Florida Atlantic. The 40 attempts brings him to 1,307 for his career, ranking No. 7 on the MAC’s career leader board. The 28 completions moves him to within one (853) of Miami’s Ben Roethlisberger (854) for fifth on the MAC's career list. The 253 passing yards moves LeFevour into No. 7 on the MAC’s career passing yards list, with 9,467.
With 11 receptions, Antonio Brown now ranks second all-time in school history with 195 career snags. He sits behind teammate Bryan Anderson, who added to his school-record today with four. He now has 226 career receptions.
With his 92 yards receiving, Antonio Brown now ranks seventh in school history with 2,001.
CMU’s defensive line registered all four of the Chippewas’ sacks today. The group finishes with 32 this season, the most among defensive linemen in the Mid-American Conference.
Anderson is now in sole possession of 10th all-time in receptions in MAC history after grabbing four passes today. He now has 226 career catches, breaking a tie with Lance Moore (Toledo, 2001-04).
CMU held Florida Atlantic to 24 points. It’s the first time the Chippewas have held an opponent under 30 points since Oct. 25, 2008 vs. Toledo. The Rockets managed 23 points in a 24-23 CMU victory.
Each of CMU’s last 11 games were decided by 10 points or less, including six that were decided by three points or less. CMU was 5-0 in games decided by three points or less prior to the Motor City Bowl.
CMU is now 3-3 all-time at Ford Field.
Antonio Brown finishes the season with 93 receptions and now owns the top two single-season receptions marks in school history. He caught a school-record 102 passes in 2007.
Brown finished the season with 998 receiving yards, two yards shy of becoming the first receiver in school history to post two 1,000-yard seasons.
Andrew Aguila finished with 16 field goals in 2008, tied for the second-most in a season in school history.
Antonio Brown moved into a tie for seventh in school history with his 13th career touchdown catch.
Dan LeFevour was CMU's leading rusher for the 19th time in 39 career games played.
Bobby Seay recorded a career-high 14 tackles against Florida Atlantic.
Nick Bellore made 13 tackles, the 10th time in 13 games in 2008 that he was credited with at least 11 stops. He finished the season with 148 tackles, tied for the third-most in a season in school history.
Antonio Brown's 29-yard punt return was a CMU bowl-game record. Brown also set a CMU bowl-game record with 11 receptions. Dan LeFevour set CMU bowl-game records for completions and attempts. Bobby Seay's 14 tackles matched a CMU bowl-game record.
