MOUNT PLEASANT Central Michigan University’s student-athletes recently completed another successful academic semester.
A total of 245 student-athletes made the honor roll with a GPA of at least 3.0 during the fall 2007 semester, with 25 of those student-athletes earning a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester.
The fall semester was capped by winter commencement ceremonies that saw 33 student-athletes earn their degree.
“We continue to do well in the classroom, which is a tribute to our student-athletes, coaches and support network,” said assistant athletics director for academic services Jason Holtman. “Our student-athletes strive to be the best in all that they do, and it shows with their efforts in the academic arena. The vision of our Championship Culture starts with academics, and our student-athletes and coaches embrace that vision each and every semester.”
Following the fall 2007 semester, CMU’s student-athletes boast a cumulative grade-point average of 3.09. Individually, 108 student-athletes maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
