Delamater Earns MAC West Pitcher of the Week Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Christa Delamater (Edmore, Mich./Montabella HS) was named Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week by the league office on Wednesday.

The junior right-hander went 1-0 last week, throwing a three-hitter against Villanova. The only run she allowed was unearned, and she fanned six in the complete-game victory. She also made a pair of appearances in relief against Maine and Missouri.

The Chippewas travel to Chicago on Wednesday to face the Illinois-Chicago Flames for a doubleheader.
