Neel Named to the Academic All-MAC Team

MOUNT PLEASANT Central Michigan University gymnast Jessica Neel was named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team for the second straight season today.
Neel, a junior all-arounder from Fairborn, Ohio, is a finance major with a 3.89 grade-point average. She was named to the second team All-MAC this season after finishing seventh in the all-around at the conference championships.
Neel was named MAC Gymnast of the Week after scoring a career-high in the all-around (39.025) versus Western Michigan. She won a pair of events during the season and finished top three 12 times. The junior earned a 9.8 or better three times and at least a 9.7 19 times.
