West Michigan Whitecaps Sponsoring Joe Staley Bobblehead Night

MOUNT PLEASANT - The West Michigan Whitecaps, the Midwest League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are sponsoring Joe Staley Bobblehead Night at Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids Friday night.
The first 1,000 fans through the gates Friday will receive a bobblehead of Staley wearing his Rockford High School football uniform. First pitch of Friday's game is set for 6:35 p.m.
Staley started all 16 games and played every offensive snap at right tackle for the San Francisco 49ers during his rookie season last year. He was the 28th pick in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft, becoming the first Central Michigan player to be selected in the first round.
Staley was a three-year starter at tackle during his collegiate career, lining up at right tackle in 2004 and moving to left tackle for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He was an All-Mid-American Conference first team selection as a senior.
