Albrecht Rejoins Academic Staff

MOUNT PLEASANT The Central Michigan University Athletics Department announced the hiring of Tera Albrecht as assistant director of Athletic Academic Services.
Albrecht previously served as an academic advisor and Life Skills coordinator for the department from 2002-04 and has been employed by the university since.
“We are very excited that Tera is coming back into this role,” said Jason Holtman, Associate Athletics Director for Athletic Academic Services. “It is always good to be able to hire someone who is familiar with the position and the people.
“Her experience and connections on campus from the last few years will bring our tutorial program to a new level. It will be hard to lose someone like Joy Bauer, but she had a great opportunity to take another step in life. We feel there should be a smooth transition with someone as familiar as Tera stepping in.”
Albrecht holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from CMU. The Sandusky native served in the physical education and sport department at CMU the last three years, spending one as an instructor and two as the internship coordinator. She also spent a year on campus in the academic advising and assistance department.
Tera also spent one year at Western Michigan University as an assistant director of Athletic Academic Services.
