Brown Selected MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT Central Michigan University sophomore Antonio Brown (Miami, Fla./North Carolina Tech) has been selected Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.
Brown’s 75-yard punt return for a touchdown put the Chippewas in front for good in a 31-28 win at Ohio in the MAC opener Saturday. It was his first career punt return for a touchdown.
Brown also accounted for 100 yards on five kickoff returns and caught a season-high 10 passes for 78 yards.
This is Brown’s second career weekly conference honor. He was named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown against Northern Illinois last season.
CMU (2-1 overall, 1-0 MAC) visits Purdue at noon on Saturday. The game will be televised live on the Big Ten Network.
