Andrew Hartline has now started 41 consecutive games, tied for the longest active streak in the country.
True freshman tight end David Blackburn made his first career start.
Twelve freshmen, including nine true freshmen, saw playing time against the Bulldogs.
Joe Bockheim’s touchdown catch in the second quarter was the second touchdown of his career. His last touchdown reception was at Kent State last season.
Bryan Anderson’s reception on the first play of the second half extended to 30 his streak of consecutive games with at least one reception. His streak was the sixth-longest in the country entering the weekend.
Dan LeFevour threw at least one touchdown pass for the 27th time in 30 career games. Saturday’s game marked the 17th time he threw multiple touchdown passes in a game. He has accounted for a touchdown either rushing, passing or receiving in 29 of his 30 career games.
CMU has now played 23 consecutive games in which the winning team has scored at least 30 points.
Jean Pitts’ touchdown catch in the third quarter was the third of his career and second in as many games.
Dan LeFevour now has 7,150 career passing yards. He is the first CMU quarterback to eclipse 7,000 career yards and ranks 14th in MAC history in passing yards.
The announced crowd of 92,746 is the fourth-largest crowd ever to watch a CMU football game.
CMU is now 0-7 all-time against Southeastern Conference opponents: 0-5 vs. Kentucky, 0-1 vs. Florida and 0-1 vs. Georgia.
