The Chippewas are 6-0 in MAC play for the second straight season and fifth time in program history.
With the win, the Chippewas' MAC record under Butch Jones improved to 20-3.
Since the start of the 2007 season, CMU is now 13-5 in 18 appearances on the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Regional).
When Toledo scored on its opening drive, it meant CMU trailed in a MAC game for the first time in 2009.
CMU has now won 17 consecutive contests versus MAC opponents from Ohio, including five straight over Toledo. It's the longest winning streak by CMU over Toledo in the all-time series.
The 56 points scored by the Chippewas is the most ever against a Toledo.
CMU's victory gives the Chippewas four straight years with at least eight victories. It's the first time since 1977-80 they've accomplished such a streak.
CMU has now scored 48 or more points in all four home contests this season.
The five turnovers forced by CMU against Toledo is a season high. The four interceptions also matched the squad's season total entering today's game.
Dan LeFevour completed 17 of his first 18 passes and had a span of 16 straight completions in the first half.
Dan LeFevour's 29 completions moved him into ninth all-time in NCAA career completions with 1,058.
Dan LeFevour's two touchdown passes moved him into 16th all-time in NCAA career touchdown passes with 92.
Antonio Brown's 13 receptions moves him into fourth all-time in MAC career receptions with 264.
WIth his four rushing touchdowns, Dan LeFevour broke CMU's career rushing touchdown record. He now has 45. The four scores on the ground tied a career high.
With his reception in the first quarter, Bryan Anderson extended his consecutive games with at least one reception to 50 games. It's the longest active streak in the nation moves him within one of the all-time NCAA record of 51, shared by Taurean Henderson (Texas TEch) and Michael Larkin (Miami-OH). Anderson's teammate, Antonio Brown, also extended his consecutive games with a reception streak to 37, tying him for the fifth-longest active streak in the nation.
Bryan Anderson's first quarter touchdown reception is the 24th of his career.
Bryan Schroeder finished with 105 rushing yards, his second carer 100-yard rushing performance. His other 100-yard performance was 106 yards against Western Michigan in 2008.
Three players registered their first career interceptions against Toledo. Dannie Bolden (first quarter), Sean Murnane (third quarter) and Alex Smith (fourth quarter).
Nick Bellore's interception in the second quarter was the fourth of his career and second of the season.
CMU's 35 points in the first half matched a season high. The Chippewas scored 35 against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 10.
With his four touchdowns scored, Dan LeFevour moves into second-place all-time in CMU history with 46, five behind Jim Podoley's 51.
With his 13 receptions, Antonio Brown moves into fourth on the MAC's all-time receptions list.
Bryan Anderson now has 3,432 career receiving yards, the eighth-most in MAC history.
Dan LeFevour's 29 completions temporarily moves him into the top spot among active quarterbacks with 1,058, two in front of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy (1,056).
