Chippewas Gain Votes in National Polls

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan has earned votes in the national top-25 polls for the eighth straight week.
CMU received 27 points in balloting for the USA Today coaches' poll and one point in the Associated Press poll. The Chippewas received the 31st most points in the coaches' poll balloting.
In both major polls, point values are assigned to each line on a voter's ballot. A No. 1 vote is worth 25 points, a No. 2 vote is worth 24 points and so on through the No. 25 spot, which is worth one point.
CMU (9-2 overall, 7-0 Mid-American Conference) closes the regular season at home Friday at 1 p.m. against Northern Illinois.
