Erasmus Earns All-Region Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT — Central Michigan senior back Kim Erasmus (Port Elizabeth, South Africa/Collegiate HS for Girls) from the field hockey team was named to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association West Region Second Team on Monday.
This season, Erasmus became the first CMU field hockey player in program history to earn first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors four times. She appeared in 20 matches and helped the Chippewas post a 1.99 goals against average (third in the MAC).
Individually, Erasmus recorded three defensive saves (t-second in the MAC). Offensively, she contributed six points on one goal and four assists.
This is the first time that Erasmus has been placed on the all-region team.
