DETROIT - The Central Michigan football team traveled to Detroit Thursday afternoon to finalize preparations for Friday's Mid-American Conference Championship Game.
The Chippewas arrived at Ford Field, the site of Friday's championship game, just after 3 p.m. Head coach Butch Jones conducted a series of radio interviews and joined quarterback Dan LeFevour and linebacker Nick Bellore in a press conference at the stadium. The trio fielded questions for 25 minutes before taking the field for the team's final walk-through.
CMU spent approximately 45 minutes on the field. Jones and LeFevour then met with the ESPN2 announcing crew of Joe Tessitore, Rod Gilmore and Quint Kessenich before departing for the team hotel.
The Chippewas will spend most of Friday in team and group meetings in advance of Friday's 8 p.m. kickoff against the Ohio Bobcats.
