Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio
This is a tremendous opportunity for Dan Enos and his family. I have no doubt that he will do an outstanding job at CMU. Dan has been a great asset and ambassador for the Michigan State football program, first as a great player and then as an outstanding recruiter and coach. He’ll always be a Spartan.
We wish him the best of luck as he begins a new chapter in his life as a head football coach. He’ll find his new role both exciting and rewarding. He’s a truly talented football coach.
Michigan State Athletics Director Mark Hollis
Congratulations to Dan Enos on his appointment as head coach at Central Michigan. With his coaching resume and in-state recruiting ties, this is a great fit for Central Michigan. He's an outstanding football coach and a tireless worker. This is an exciting opportunity for Dan and his family, and we wish him great success at CMU. The 'Celebrate the State' series will now take on a little extra meaning.
Tennessee Titans Running Back Javon Ringer
Coach Enos is one of the best coaches that I have been able to have during my time playing football. He played the game, so he understands how players are feeling during the season and players can relate to him. He's a really down-to-earth guy with a great sense of humor. Coach Enos and I had a special relationship, and I credit a lot of my success to him.
Detroit Lions Quarterback Drew Stanton
I think his personality is unique. It's helpful to have someone like him who has played the game because you can relate to him, and he has such a passionate love for the game. I struggled my senior year, but having him to talk to and to lean on really helped me through that season. He's really detailed, which is nice especially in my position because you know exactly what to expect on the field.
Madison Heights Madison High School Head Coach Drake Wilkins
The No. 1 thing I think of when you mention Dan Enos is that he is a genuinely good person, and that is what recruits see and feel with him. Parents and athletes see that he is passionate about what he does, and you can trust and believe what he's saying. The type of person that he is is what makes him so successful.
