Kim Sihota Named Academic All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT – Senior back Kim Sihota (Richmond, British Columbia/Hugh McRoberts SS) was named to the 2010 Academic All-Mid-American Conference field hockey team on Wednesday.
Sihota will graduate in May with a biology major and a 3.29 grade-point average.
Sihota was a first-team All-MAC selection in 2010. She was also named to the All-MAC tournament team. Sihota started all 20 matches at back for Central Michigan this fall and played over 99 percent of the minutes possible during the season. She had one goal and one assist on the season.
This is the first time that Sihota has been named to the Academic All-MAC squad. She earned an honorable mention spot during her sophomore season in 2008.
The Academic All-MAC team is an honor for student-athletes who have excelled in academics, as well as athletics, and is voted on by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions. A total of 11 student-athletes were named to the team.
