MOUNT PLEASANT - Thirty current or former Central Michigan student-athletes completed their coursework and earned degrees following the Fall 2010 semester.
Also invited to participate in Saturday's commencement ceremonies at McGuirk Arena were 12 other current or former student-athletes who earned degrees in August.
According to the NCAA's most recent Graduation Success Rate report, nearly 90 percent of student-athletes who exhaust their eligibility at CMU also earn their degrees. Additionally, 82 percent of CMU freshmen student-athletes who entered college in 2002 earned their degrees, bettering the national Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 79 percent.
