Suder Named MAC Specialist of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT — Senior Jessica Suder from the Central Michigan gymnastics team was named the Mid-American Conference’s Specialist of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Suder won the balance beam with a season-best 9.800 against Kent State on Saturday. The mark was the best of any MAC gymnast last week and currently ranks fifth in the league.
This is the third time that a Chippewa has won the award this season and the second week in a row. It is also the first time that Suder has won the weekly MAC award in her career.
The Chippewas host Western Michigan in Rose Center on Sunday afternoon.
