Five Chippewas Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

MOUNT PLEASANT - Five former Central Michigan football players have been named to the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society.
Bryan Anderson, Eric Fraser, Dan LeFevour, Allen Ollenburger and Frank Zombo all were inducted into the society which recognizes seniors from all divisions of college football who are starters or significant substitutes and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better. A total of 620 players from 246 schools were part of 2010 induction class.
CMU's five honorees were the most of any college or university in the state of Michigan and the sixth most of any NCAA Bowl Subdivision program in the country.
Anderson maintained a 3.33 GPA as a health fitness major. He was a three-time Academic All-Mid-American Conference selection and a 2009 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV first team honoree. A four-time all-conference selection, Anderson caught a pass in each of the 54 games he played during his career, an NCAA all-divisions record for most consecutive games with a reception.
Fraser carried a 3.59 GPA as a health fitness major. He was a two-time Academic All-MAC and two-time academic all-district honoree. A four-year letterman, Fraser accounted for 189 tackles and four interceptions in 50 career games.
LeFevour held a 3.58 GPA as an interpersonal communication major before graduating in December 2009. He was a four-time Academic All-MAC selection and two-time academic all-district second team honoree. LeFevour was recently named the Detroit Athletic Club's Michigan College Athlete of the Year and was a finalist for the 2009 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. LeFevour is the Bowl Subdivision's all-time leader in total touchdowns (150) and ranks second in total offense (15,853 career yards).
Ollenburger maintained a 3.21 GPA as an outdoor recreation major. A four-year letterman and two-year starter, Ollenburger was an All-MAC first team honoree and Academic All-MAC selection in 2009.
Zombo was a health fitness major with a 3.38 GPA. He was a three-time Academic All-MAC selection and a three-time academic all-district second team honoree. A four-year letterman, Zombo ranks second in school history with 25.5 career sacks and was twice named to the All-MAC first team.
A total of 11 Chippewas have been inducted into the Hampshire Honor Society since its inception in 2007. Previous inductees include:
