MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The incoming class of Central Michigan men's basketball players was highlighted by ESPN.com this week as the second-best class in an article titled "Best of the Rest."
Author Michael LaPlante's article listed the Chippewas second only to Detroit in a list of schools "not in the power conferences who also had tremendous recruiting classes."
The article mentions Trey Zeigler, the eighth-ranked shooting guard in the country, who will join the Chippewas this fall. Zeigler was added to the recruiting class in April, months after ESPN and Scouts Inc had already rated the new Chippewas as the top group in the MAC.
The 2009-10 Chippewas won their second-consecutive MAC West Division title, advancing to the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament for the fourth-consecutive season under Ernie Zeigler.
