CMU's 52-14 victory on Saturday ...
... marks the Chippewas' sixth straight win over a MAC West Division opponent.
... makes the Chippewas 2-1 through three games for the third straight season.
... improves record to 8-1 in September MAC games since the start of the 2006 season.
... marks the sixth win in it's last 10 trips to Ypsilanti dating back to 1990.
CMU's gameday captain was Vince Agnew. He joined permanent captains Nick Bellore, Colin Miller and Kito Poblah.
Senior linebacker Nick Bellore made his 44th consecutive start. He has started each of CMU's games since the start of the 2007 season.
Kito Poblah's first catch of the game came on CMU's second possession. It marked the 27th consecutive game in which Poblah had a reception.
Paris Cotton has scored a rushing touchdown in each of the Chippewas' first three games this season. Saturday's game marked the first time in his career he has rushed for multiple touchdowns in the same game.
Paris Cotton's three rushing touchdowns were the most in a game for a Chippewa since Dan LeFevour scored four versus Toledo in 2009..
Paris Cotton finished with a career-high 209 rushing yards on 21 carries. It was his first career 100-yard rushing effort. He is the first Chippewa to rush for at least 200 yards in a game since 2004. It is the 31st 200-yard rushing game in school history.
The CMU defense surrendered its first passing touchdown of the season when Eastern Michigan's Alex Gillett connected with Donald Scott for a 52-yard score in the third quarter.
Armond Staten's 13 tackles marked a career-high for the junior linebacker.
Nick Bellore recorded his 400th career tackle during Saturday's game. He now ranks sixth in CMU history with 400 career stops.
Mike Petrucci's fumble return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter was the first for CMU since Dan Bazuin returned a fumble 32 yards for a score at Toledo in 2006.
In his first career start, redshirt freshman kicker David Harman converted all seven extra points he attempted, while making a 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Cody Wilson posted his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game. He finished with 3 catches for 100 yards.
