Central Michigan and Dartmouth play in the 4th/6th place game on Saturday afternoon to close out the Great Alaska Shootout. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. AST.
Both teams bounced back with victories yesterday in the consolation bracket to set up today's meeting.

Series History
The Chippewas and Big Green have never met on the court.
Against the Ivy
CMU is 3-1 all-time against teams currently in the Ivy League. The Chippewas are 1-1 versus Princeton and 1-0 against both Brown and Columbia. Ernie Zeigler is 2-1 against Ivy schools, going 1-1 against Princeton with each team winning on the road. Zeigler’s first career coaching victory came against Brown in the 2006 2K Sports College Hoops Classic in East Lansing, Mich.
UC Irvine Recap
The Chippewas jumped out to a 12-0 lead and then never trailed yesterday in an 82-72 victory over UC Irvine. Olivier Mbaigoto scored a career-high 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots to lead the Chippewas while Trey Zeigler added 21 points and seven boards. The two teams combined for 23 3-pointers. The Anteaters nailed 12 treys and CMU drained 11 while shooting .500 from the arc.
Good Start
The Chippewas have a winning record through the first five games of the year for the second time under head coach Ernie Zeigler. CMU also was 3-2 in Zeigler’s first season (2006-07).
Different Leaders
In CMU’s five games this season, the Chippewas have had four different leading scorers. Of the four players to lead CMU in scoring this season, three are newcomers.
80-Point Mark
The Chippewas scored a season-high 82 points yesterday against the Anteaters. During the Ernie Zeigler era, the Chippewas are 12-2 when scoring 80 or more points.
From Start to Finish
In all three of their victories this season, the Chippewas never trailed in the game.
Moving the Ball
CMU’s 20 assists yesterday against UC Irvine were the most by the Chippewas since handing out 26 against Tiffin in 2007. Against UC Irvine, CMU had an assist on 74 percent of its field goals (20 assists, 27 field goals).
Positive Ratio
The Chippewas had 20 assists to 12 turnovers against the Anteaters, marking the second time this season CMU had a positive assist/turnover ratio. The starting backcourt of Austin McBroom and Derek Jackson combined for 12 assists to just one miscue against UC Irvine. Three Chippewas have a positive assist/turnover ratio on the year — McBroom (19/6), Jackson (13/8) and John Morris (5/3).
Shutting them Down
The Chippewa defense has held all five opponents to a sub-40 percent field goal percentage this season and the opponents are shooting just .332 against CMU. Charlotte had the highest field goal percentage against CMU at .371. The five-game streak holding opponents below 40 percent is the longest streak in the Ernie Zeigler era. The previous high was three consecutive games.
