Storylines
- Saturday’s matchup between Central Michigan and Bowling Green is a part of a double-header with the women’s basketball program. The CMU women will take on Kent State at 4:00 p.m. as part of their Pink Zone promotion to raise money for the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund. The men’s game will follow at 6:30 p.m.

...earn head coach Ernie Zeigler his 61st career win, giving home sole posession of seventh place in CMU program history.

All-Time Series
The Falcons lead the all-time series between the two programs, 36-30, but the Chippewas have claimed three of the last four contests during head coach Ernie Zeigler ’s tenure.
The Coaches
Head Coach Ernie Zeigler is in his fifth season at the helm of the Central Michigan men’s basketball program, sporting a record of 60-86 overall and 34-40 in Mid-American Conference play. Zeigler has led the Chippewas to back-to-back MAC West Division titles. Zeigler is 3-1 versus the Falcons. Louis Orr is in his fourth season as the head coach of the Falcons after coaching previously at Seton Hall. Orr is 58-59 in his three-plus seasons at the helm and led BGSU to the 2009 National Invitation Tournament.
If They Both Score 20...
During Central Michigan’s four home conference games this season, both senior forward Jalin Thomas and freshman guard Trey Zeigler are scoring 20-plus points per game. Zeigler has averaged 24.5 points per game at home against MAC foes, knocking down 52.9 percent of his three-point attempts, while Thomas has scored 20.0 points per contest, while leading the team with 6.0 rebounds per game. Thomas is also shooting better then 50 percent from behind the arc in home conference games, knocking down 11-of-21 attempts for a 52.4 mark.
The Keys To Success
In Central Michigan’s six wins this season, they have scored 69.5 points per contests, nearly 12 more per game than their season average. The Maroon and Gold also shoot nearly 10 percent better from behind the three-point line in their wins, knocking down 42.4 percent compared to their season average of 32.6 percent.
Scouting The Opponent
The Falcons are coming off a 65-64 win over MAC West leading Ball State on Tuesday night and currently sit in a three-way tie for second place in the MAC East Division. BGSU is led by junior forward Scott Thomas who leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaginag 11.8 and 6.7 respectively. The Falcons started the season 1-8, but have won 11 of their last 15 contests to even their record at 12-12 on the season.
