State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week - Jake Sabol

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Jake Sabol of the Central Michigan baseball program is this week's State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Sabol tossed his second straight complete game shutout on Sunday, leading the Chippewas to a three-game weekend sweep at Akron. Sabol limited the Zips to just four hits, struck out four and walked one in CMU's 10-0 victory. He did not allow a runner past second base. Sabol has thrown 18 scoreless innings in his last two starts, allowing just 10 hits, striking out eight and walking two.
The senior from Shelby Twp., Mich., maintains a 3.04 grade-point average as a sport studies major.
Each week during the academic year, one student-athlete is selected as the State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
