State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week - Mykal Imbrock

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mykal Imbrock of the Central Michigan track and field program is this week's State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
Imbrock broke the school record and finished in first place in the hammer throw at the John Jacobs Invitational on Friday with a throw of 187-0. Her mark was two inches better than the former record of 186-10 set by Jen Brown in 2000 and nearly four feet better than her previous career best. Imbrock also added an eighth-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 40-2 1/4.
The senior from Hamler, Ohio maintains a 3.64 grade-point average as a sport studies major.
Each week during the academic year, one student-athlete is selected as the State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
