Central Michigan at Western Michigan - September 17, 2011
Saturday's game marked the first time this season CMU did not score on its opening drive. The Chippewas scored a touchdown on their first possession against South Carolina State and kicked a field goal against Kentucky.
Jahleel Addae's fumble recovery in the end zone on the opening play of the second half accounted for his first career touchdown.
Addae's score was CMU's first defensive touchdown since Avery Cunningham returned an interception 63 yards against Bowling Green in 2010. It was the first fumble recovery for a score since Mike Petrucci returned a fumble 43 yards against Eastern Michigan in 2010.
Joe Kinville's interception in the third quarter was the first of his career. It was his third career turnover; he recovered two fumbles in 2010.
Cody Wilson caught a pass for the 22nd consecutive game dating back to 2009. WIlson finished with three catches for 46 yards.
Ryan Radcliff moved into seventh on CMU's career pass attempts list (595) and sixth on the career completions list (350). Radcliff also moved into 10th on CMU's career total offense list (4,097).
Tim Phillips' 28-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the longest run of his career and the longest rushing play for CMU in 2011.
Tim Phillips finished with a career-high 84 rushing yards on Saturday.
True freshman receiver Jason Wilson made his first career reception, a 14-yard catch in the fourth quarter.
Caleb Southworth set career highs in receptions (two) and receiving yards (18).
Avery Cunningham matched a career high with 11 tackles against Western Michigan.
The loss snaps a five-game winning streak for CMU over the Broncos.
