| Ticket & Parking Prices | |
| | Q. Are season tickets the same price as last year? |
| A. The cost of season tickets rose this year primarily as a result of a seven-game home schedule instead of a typical five-game schedule. Fans purchasing season tickets actually receive a greater discount this year than in 2011. Purchasing a season ticket package this year saves 21 percent for adult tickets and 35 percent for youth/senior tickets when compared to the cost of purchasing each game individually. Last year's season ticket package was discounted between 13-20 percent. | |
| Q. Has the price of season parking passes remained the same? | |
| A. The price of a season parking pass has increased for the first time in many years. A seven-game home schedule equates to two more games to staff, significantly increasing operational costs. The price has gone from $25 to $45, or from $5 per game to just more than $6 per game. | |
| Student Tickets | |
| | Q. Will students still get in free to the Michigan State game? |
| A. Yes. CMU students will not be charged for a ticket to the Michigan State game. | |
| Q. Can I just show my student ID at the gates like last year? | |
| A. For the MSU game, students will have a digital ticket placed on their ID card. That ID card must then be scanned at the gate on September 8. For the remaining six games, current CMU students will gain entry by having a valid student ID scanned at the gate. [complete details] | |
| Q. How many student tickets are available to the MSU game? | |
| A. Additional seating will be constructed for the 2012 season to bring the student section capacity to approximately 10,000. CMU students will comprise the largest group of ticket holders in the stadium, and will be seated in the usual student end zone. | |
| Q. How will I get my free digital student ticket? | |
| A. Registration for the free digital student tickets (limit one per current CMU student with valid ID) will take place at MAINStage and the season opener. [complete details] | |
| Q. Can I purchase additional tickets for family or friends? | |
| A. Students may purchase tickets for family and friends for six of the home games this season, but not for the Michigan State game. The only way for family and friends to guarantee themselves a seat for the Michigan State game is by following the defined purchasing windows. | |
| Miscellaneous | |
| | Q. Will there be an increase in seating capacity at Kelly/Shorts Stadium for the MSU game? |
| A. Additional seating is being added to the student section, raising its capacity from 8,000 to 10,000. | |
