Softball Opens Fall Schedule at Home This Weekend

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan softball will open its fall exhibition schedule at home this weekend with games against Northwood and Grand Valley State at Margo Jonker Stadium.

The Chippewas take on Northwood Saturday at 12:30 p.m., and will play Grand Valley State Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

The exhibitions are free and open to the public.

The Maroon and Gold continue their fall schedule next weekend at the Traverse City Tournament, held at Traverse City West High School. The Chippewas will play three games on Saturday against Ferris State (10:30 a.m.), Western Michigan (12 p.m.) and Michigan (2 p.m.), followed by bracket play on Sunday.

Central Michigan will host the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars in Mount Pleasant on Friday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. as part of the pro team's Back to School Tour. This game is free and open to the public.

Softball alumnae will be welcomed back to Mount Pleasant for the CMU Alumnae Game on Saturday, Oct. 27.
