Yuncker Named Pitcher of the Week

Mount Pleasant, Mich.- Junior pitcher Morgan Yuncker was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week. Yuncker went 2-0 while in Clearwater, Fla., pitching two complete games.

Yuncker pitched a total of 12 innings at the USF Tournament over the weekend. She finished the weekend with an ERA of 1.50 and gave up a total of seven hits. Against Quinnipiac on March 10, she allowed for only one run in a 9-1 victory after 5.0 innings of play. She struck out four batters against Wagner on March 8, and only walked two batters during tournament play. She has a 2-0 record on the season, and a team-best 1.74 ERA in 20.2 innings.

Central Michigan has earned three conference players of the week this season, including back-to-back pitchers of the week.
