CMU Softball Announces 2015 Schedule

2015 Schedule
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Central Michigan softball team will open the 2015 season with four indoor games at the Rosemont Dome in Chicago Feb. 6-8.
The weekend set kicks off a schedule comprising 55 games including nine doubleheaders.
The docket includes trips to Chicago, California, Tennessee and Florida before the Chippewas' home and Mid-American Conference opener on Friday, March 27, against Miami (Ohio).
At the Rosemont Dome in Chicago, CMU is scheduled to open the season on Feb. 6 against Samford. The Chippewas are also slated to play Syracuse, Western Illinois and Illinois-Chicago during the three-day event.
The Chipewas then head to San Diego State for five games over four days from Feb. 12-15. Two weeks later, the Chippewas travel to Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn., for four games in two days.
On March 6, the Chippewas begin a trip to South Florida in Clearwater where they will play 12 games over a nine-day span, including their first scheduled doubleheader on March 12, against Pennsylvania. CMU wraps up the trip two days later with games against Rutgers and Yale.
The first home game, against Miami, is a scheduled doubleheader. The Chippewas will then entertain Ball State in MAC games on succeeding days.
CMU will also play home MAC dates with Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Buffalo, Toledo and Bowling Green. They will also entertain Michigan State in a non-league game.
The MAC Tournament is scheduled for Akron from May 6-9.
