MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – For the second-straight season, Central Michigan gymnast Halle Moraw has been honored by the Mid-American Conference. Moraw was named to the All-MAC first team today after receiving second team accolades last year.
The Clarkston, Mich., native ranks in the top four in MAC regional qualifying score on three events (floor – 1st, vault – 2nd, beam 4th) and is also ranked in the top 25 regionally on all three including third on floor. Moraw is ranked top 100 nationally on three events including 14th on floor, which is tied with CMU’s Taylor Noonan for the highest MAC ranking on any event.
Moraw won 10 times this season and had 22 top three finishes out of 31 total routines. She scored a 9.725 or better 30 of 31 routines and had a 9.8 or better 21 times. The junior has the second-best score on floor (9.925) in the MAC, the third best on vault (9.875) and the fifth-best on beam (9.875). She was named MAC Gymnast of the Week earlier this season.
Central Michigan is looking to make history this Saturday, March 22, when CMU goes for its fifth consecutive conference title as no program has ever won five in a row. The MAC Championships are being hosted by Eastern Michigan this season and take place at the EMU Convocation Center beginning at 2 p.m.
