Chippewas Welcome Infield Transfer

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Infielder Taylor Lewallen has joined the Central Michigan softball team.

Lewallen is a transfer from New Mexico State. She will have sophomore eligibility and be will be eligible in the 2015 season.

Lewallen, a left-handed hitter from Surprise, Ariz., drew one walk while appearing in two games for the Aggies during the 2014 season. She recorded three official at-bats.

Lewallen hit .533 with a .614 on-base percentage during her senior year at Willow Canyon High School, and she is the school's career leader in batting average, hits, runs, total bases, slugging percentage and on-base percentage.
