
CMU Begins Field Hockey Road Trip With Loss to Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific scored four second-half goals Thursday in handing the Central Michigan field hockey team a 5-0 non-league loss.
It was the first game in a three-game west-coast road trip for the Chippewas (1-6). They are scheduled to play eighth-ranked Stanford (6-1) on Friday and UC Davis (1-4) on Sunday.
Alicia Muinos scored unassisted less than five minutes in to give Pacific (4-5) a 1-0 lead. CMU had four penalty corners to Pacific's three in the first half, and the Tigers held a slim 5-4 advantage in shots through the first 35 minutes.
Leah Cofer scored less than three minutes into the second half to extend Pacific's lead to 2-0. The Tigers tacked on three more goals in the final 17 minutes. Ali Campos scored twice, and Kyleigh Morrison once.
Pacific finished with a 16-5 advantage in shots and a 5-4 margin in penalty corners.
CMU goalkeeper Sadie Lynn Reynolds made five saves, while Laura Pujade made three in goal for Pacific.
Cayleigh Immelman recorded two shots for the Chippewas, while Maude Stalars, Gigi Fasanello and Mary Moore had one each.
