MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan punter Ron Coluzzi was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's 42-28 loss at Toledo.
Coluzzi, a sophomore from Naperville, Ill. averaged 52.7 yards on three punts including a career-long 55-yarder in the second quarter. Two of his punts landed inside the 20-yard line.
Coluzzi is averaging 41.9 yards on 22 punts this season. Nine of his punts have been downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and seven have been fair caught.
