White Team Seizes 2-0 Series Lead

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Zack Fields had two hits and drove in two runs and Jordan Grosjean went the distance on the mound Saturday to lead the White Team to a 12-4 victory over the Maroon Team in Game 2 of the Central Michigan baseball team's Fall World Series Classic at Theunissen Stadium.
The White Team leads the best-of-7 series, 2-0. Game 3 is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. Sunday at Theunissen.
Dazon Cole had a two-run single and David Cole tripled for the White Team, which collected 11 hits in the seven-inning game.
Also for the winners, Alex Borglin had a hit and two RBI, Colton Bradley delivered a two-run single, Jason Sullivan and Daniel Jipping each had a hit and an RBI, and Evan Kratt and Ty Rollin both singled.
Ryan Heeke led the Maroon Team with a single and an RBI double, while Blake Cleveland had two hits, and Zach McKinstry added a two-run single.
Logan Regnier and Morgan Oliver each singled for the Maroon Team. Adam Aldred and Brady Williams split the pitching duties.
