White Team Up 3-0 in 'Classic'

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Dazon Cole drove in a run and came on to notch the save Sunday as the White Team downed the Maroon Team, 2-1, in Game 3 of the Central Michigan baseball team's Fall World Series Classic at Theunissen Stadium.
The victory gave the White Team a 3-0 lead in the seven-game series. Game 4 is Tuesday at 2:45 p.m.
Zack Fields and Jason Sullivan had two hits apiece to lead the White Team, which scored both of its runs in the fourth inning on back-to-back run-scoring groundouts by Cole and Evan Kratt.
Nick Deeg and Cal Djuraskovic also pitched for the White Team.
Morgan Oliver's third-inning RBI single accounted for the Maroon Team's run. Jarrod Watkins, Logan Regnier, Ryan Heeke and David Cole added a single each.
Josh Pierce and Connor Kelly pitched for the Maroon Team.
