OXFORD, Ohio - The Central Michigan field hockey team fell to Miami (Ohio), 5-0, Saturday in a Mid-American Conference game.
The loss dropped CMU to 1-14 overall, 1-4 league, and eliminated the Chippewas from MAC-Tournament contention.
Miami, 10-7, 4-1, outshot the Chippewas, 34-1. Kianne Hinkle recorded CMU's lone shot in the match.
CMU goalkeeper Sadie Lynn Reynolds was credited with 15 saves.
Bea Dechant scored two goals for the RedHawks.
CMU plays at 10th-ranked Lousiville, 10-5, in a non-conference game on Sunday.
