Fans Fire Up for Football Send-off

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan fans are invited to give the Chippewa football team a Fire Up Chips send-off Friday as it departs for Kalamazoo and its showdown with Western Michigan.
The rally, just outside Kelly/Shorts Stadium near the northwest ticket booth, is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. CMU students, staff, faculty and the community are invited. Members of the team and coaching staff will join the rally, greet the crowd and sing the fight song.
Saturday’s game at Western’s Waldo Stadium carries a noon kickoff.
