
White Takes Game 1 of Fall World Series Classic

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Dazon Cole and Evan Kratt had two hits apiece and Cole came on to notch the save as the White defeated the Maroon, 7-6, Friday in Game 1 of the Central Michigan baseball team's Fall World Series Classic at Theunissen Stadium.
The Series continues Saturday at noon. A team picnic is scheduled for the conclusion of the game. The public is welcome. Game 3 is Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
Kratt and Cole, both freshmen, each had an RBI single to highlight the White's three-run sixth inning as the White rallied from a 6-4 deficit.
Joe Houlihan also drove in a run in the inning with a sacrifice fly.
Daniel Jipping also finished with two hits and drove in a run for the White, while Ty Rollin and Jason Sullivan each singled, and Alex Borglin picked up an RBI.
Michael Brettell started for the White and Jimmy McNamara pitched in relief.
For Maroon, Jarrod Watkins had two hits and drove in two runs, Morgan Oliver had a two-run single, Zach McKinstry and Logan Regnier each had an RBI single, and Adam Collins singled.
Grant Wolfram and Sean Martens did the pitching for Maroon.
