11 CMU Field Hockey Student-Athletes Earn Academic Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Eleven Central Michigan student-athletes were named to the 2015 Academic All-Mid-American Conference field hockey team.
Those CMU student-athletes named to the squad, listed with year, grade point average, and major: Haley Bova, sophomore, 3.33, undeclared; Alex Gonda, sophomore, undeclared, 3.25; Kaysie Gregory, senior, human resource administration (master's), 3.88; Kianne Hinkle, senior, integrative public relation, 3.83; Addy Marshall, sophomore, undeclared, 3.50; Elaine Materise, senior, broadcast and cinematic arts, 3.42; Kayla McClure, sophomore, environmental health and safety, 3.80; Sadie Lynn Reynolds, senior, child development, 3.43; Olivia Shagam, senior, exercise science, 3.36; Maude Stalars, junior, international business, 3.45; Olivia Wagner, junior, outdoor and environmental recreation, 3.73.
It is the third-consecutive year that Gregory has earned league academic honors, and the second-consecutive year that Hinkle, Reynolds, Shagam, Stalars and Wagner have.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.2 grade point average or better and appear in at least 50 percent of her team's games. Freshman and first-year transfers are ineligible.
