11 Chippewas Earn Academic All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Eleven Central Michigan student-athletes were named to the 2015 Academic All-Mid-American Conference cross country team.
Those CMU student-athletes named to the squad, listed with year, grade point average, and major: Silas Dekalita, senior, 3.90, law and economics; Joseph Emmanuel, sophomore, 3.35, electrical engineering; Nathaniel Ghena, senior, 3.29, dietetics; Monte Scott, senior, 3.77, biology; Casey Voisin, junior, 3.60, social studies; Esther Bell, junior, 3.69, psychology; Michaela Bundy, junior, 3.73, physical education; Jamie Madrigal, junior, 3.51, exercise science/kinesiology; Kristen Olling, sophomore, 3.55, dietetics; Kelly Schubert, 3.93, undeclared; Katelyn Weiler, junior, 3.71, sports management.
Ghena, Voisin, Bell, Bundy, Madrigal and Weiler were each named to the squad last year. Schubert and Scott earned Academic All-MAC accolades in 2013.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.2 grade point average or better and appear in at least 50 percent of her team's competitions. Freshman and first-year transfers are ineligible.
