Knapp Repeats as MAC West's Top Pitcher

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan sophomore Rachael Knapp was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week.

Knapp went 1-2 last week, allowing six runs (four earned) on 12 hits and four walks over 24 2/3 innings in four appearances. She compiled a 1.15 earned run average in the four games and tied her career-high with 13 strikeouts in a nine-inning 3-2 loss to Bowling Green.

Knapp takes a team-best 2.07 ERA in to the MAC Tournament. It marks the second consecutive time that Knapp has been named the MAC West pitcher of the week and the fifth time this season.
