MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan field hockey coach Molly Pelowski has announced the addition of Carly Brengosz to the program.
Brengrosz, a sophomore midfielder, is a transfer from Lindenwood (Mo.) and the sister of former Chippewa Jordyn Brengosz.
"We are very excited to welcome Carly to our team," first-year CMU coach Molly Pelowski said. "Assistant coaches Earl Marais and Emi Girasole and I feel very strongly that she will contribute to the strength and success of our mid-field.
"Carly's older sister Jordyn was an outstanding representative of Chippewa field hockey and we look forward to continuing the Brengosz tradition here at CMU."
Brengosz, who will be immediately eligible, started all 17 games at Division II Lindenwood last season, totaling 10 points (three goals, four assists) in helping the Lions to a 10-7 finish.
A native of Nashotah, Wis., Brengosz posted 28 shots on goal among 51 total shots, both team-highs, and notched two game-winners along with four defensive saves.
Jordyn Brengosz, a four-year starter at CMU, completed her eligibility with the 2014 season.
The Chippewas open the 2015 season on Aug. 28 at home against Delaware.
